2015 Regional Campuses Student Government Elections Name: Jordan Truex Office: Regional Campuses President Class Rank: 2nd Bachelor's Degree Years at USU: 8 Major: Business Administration I am from Logan, UT and graduated with a B.S. degree in History with a minor in Chemistry from USU in Logan. After moving from Logan to further my career opportunities, I began a second bachelor's degree program in Business Administration at the USU Salt Lake Campus. Having attended school at Utah State University at both the Logan campus and at a Regional campus allows me a unique perspective of the needs that Regional Campus students have as they are pursuing their education. Having been a student at USU for 8 years, I have seen the many changes that have occurred throughout the university. I have also developed relationships with many university professors and administrators and know how to get things done. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuG6Z7kzmbk Goals: 1. Promote the use of MyVoice. MyVoice is an application located on your MYUSU homepage (located on the right hand side). It allows students to address their concerns, give suggestions, and say what they feel about their experience at USU. The information that you send through MyVoice is confidential and is given to the student body representatives to address to the deans and administrators of the various campuses. This allows YOU to have a VOICE in what MATTERS TO YOU! 2. Be involved in the activities at each campus and visit the various regional campuses regularly to meet with the students, campus representatives, and administrators to listen and discuss what we can do to make your experience at USU the BEST it can be. 3. Encourage the attendance of the Utah Legislature student involvement days by the campus representatives so that each region has a voice in the laws that are impacting students during the coming year. 4. Communicate with the committees located throughout the state and address those needs to the USUSA council in Logan. I will be present and involved in all of the meetings required and relay the information necessary to those that need to hear it. Platform: I will be dedicated and committed to fulfill my promise to be Your Representative, Your Advocate, Your VOICE! I want to hear from YOU what changes you want to see, address the problems that you face, and help make your experience at USU a successful one so that you are proud to be an Aggie!

2015 Regional Campuses Student Government Elections Elisa Saurette Tooele VP Gender: F Class Rank J Hometown: Tooele Years at USU: 3 Major: Biology Minors: Health Qualifications 1. Been in Student Government for 2 years, which has given me leadership skills and the knowledge on how everything is conducted. 2. My leadership skills, which has helped me bring out the best in people and helping an organization succeed. 3. The ability to adapt, and build relationships, while improving performance and growing in innovation. 4. Being diverse and knowing how to make an organization truly successful. 5. Friendly and very open. Goals and/or Plans for Office 1. Helping new Student Rep's, Tooele, Delta, and Nephi, because everyone is new that is running for office. 2. I want to put a new scholarship together. 3. Help Delta and Nephi get their student government more well known. 4. Next year have some more activities be 100% free. 5. Help make changes by having a seat on the council and board. Campaign Platform We will have all new student representatives and I know from experience how complex everything will be. I want to use my past two years in helping them, because I know when they succeed, the campus succeeds. My name is Elisa Saurette, I have been a student for 3 years now and been in Student Government for 2. I have found a love and a passion in my school and what we stand for. I am going for my PhD In Biology, I love teaching and inspiring others. I'm guessing everyone is thinking, 'why do I care about who wins and who is in student government?' You should care because student government controls your student fees; how and where the fees are used. Some examples of how we use the fees are activities, such as the Halloween party and Winter Social, the new student lounge, and providing food during finals week. I am running for the VP position. The VP for our region is over Tooele, Delta, and Nephi. This year there will be all new student reps so I feel it would be most beneficial for our school to have someone in the VP position that already has experience with student government. The VP has a seat on the council, which helps make decisions for all regional campuses. The VP also has a seat on the board that works with our dean, the dean's assistant, and others in our community to make high decisions on what goes on within our campus, TATC, and Tooele City. I already have some experience working with the Tooele City Council by taking over VP at the end of the Fall 2014 semester. I hope to be working with our amazing school this year as your VP, because I know when our students succeeds our campus succeeds!
