Interns completing ALL rotations in Utah

"Utah" positions are those considered in and around the Wasatch Front. Applications will be accepted from out-of-state and Utah residents for the Utah intern positions.  Preference to complete the Dietetic Internship in Utah is given to graduates of accredited dietetic undergraduate programs in Utah.  Graduates of the USU DPD program are eligible to participate in the Pre-Select Application. The master schedule and training sites for Utah interns will be arranged by the Internship Director(s).  You do not need to fill out and submit preceptor and facility forms. Interns interested in training in other parts of Utah such as St. George would apply as a "Distance" intern.  Potential facilities that may participate in the USU Dietetic Internship Program include the following:

• Food Service Systems Management (FSSM) & School Nutrition Education (SNE) Rotations are completed at a Utah School District:

• Clinical Nutrition Rotations are completed at a variety of medical and outpatient facilities:

  • Ogden Regional Hospital
  • Bonneville Dialysis Center
  • Hill Air Force Base Wellness Center
  • Davis Hospital & Medical Center
  • South Davis Community Hospital
  • Salt Lake Regional Medical Center
  • Coram Healthcare
  • Urban Central Region IHC Hospitals
  • IHC Diabetes Center
  • IHC Dialysis Center
  • St. Mark's Hospital
  • Jordan Valley Medical Center
  • Wasatch Dialysis Center
  • Center for Change
  • Timpanogos Hospital
  • Utah Valley Dialysis
  • Utah Valley Regional Medical Center
  • Mt. View Hospital

• Public Health Nutrition (PHN) Rotation is generally completed at local WIC clinics or other community agencies:
  • Bear River Health Department and WIC Clinic
  • Utah State University Cooperative Extension Program (Logan, Ogden, and Provo)
  • Weber Morgan WIC Program
  • Salt Lake Valley WIC Clinics
  • Provo-Orem WIC Clinics
